Tugboats, Tugboats, Tugboats: Seaspan Corsair

Tugboats, the semi's of the ocean. They pass Powell River pulling logbooms, construction barges, scows of hogfuel and chips for the local paper mill, train barges, barges loaded with
semi-trailers and chemical tankers and more. And I take their pictures as they pass.

Here you will find some of the photos I have taken of those tugboats as they pull their tows up and down Malaspina Strait and the surrounding waters. Big ones and little ones, good looking tugs and some not so.

Seaspan Corsair

Seaspan Corsair - 2017-10-12

Seaspan Corsair - the Corsair, the Cutlass and the Cavalier are all sisters, built to the same design, so one has to have a second look when you see one of them out on the Strait. In the most recent photos she is shown tied up in the Powell River South Harbour waiting for the weather to clear. Her tow was at the Mill. The 4th shot also shows Seaspan's J.R.W. The 5th shot shows one of her lifebuoys with a Diamant L90 lifebuoy light attached.
